  • Hey all,

Well its past time for an update.  I guess everyone pretty much knows by know that we are in Midland, Texas again.  We made the move on July 30-31.  Abe started a new job at a Oilfield trucking company here in Midland on August 4.  He would be driving trucks back and forth to the oilfield sites and delivering the products they needed from the warehouse.  He was excited about it being different.  He went through getting his license changed quickly and taking drug test, background checks and a fingerprint so he could get a haz-mat license.  On August 8th the guy who was training him fell asleep and the 18 wheeler he was a passenger in rolled 1 1/4 times.  He is lucky to be alive.  We all say THANK GOD!

Abe had a huge hole in his arm.  He was bruised up and banged up all down his right side.  He had a few large cuts on his face that had to be stitched up.  The hole in his right forearm is basically from his elbow to his wrist.  He is missing part of the muscle and nerve on that arm.  They did a skin graft from his right leg to his right arm and he is healing from that now.  His arm is a lot better than it was and not as good as it once was.  He doesn't have much usage in that arm right now at all.  He is supposed to start therapy very soon and they are hoping to get some of the mobility and usage back in his right arm.  We are praying for his recovery and taking it one day at a time.

The kids started school on August 25 and they are loving it so far.  Dusty and Lori are in Goddard Junior High and Michelle is in Emerson Elementary.  Dusty is playing football and they are working him over pretty good.  Chelle is in Orchestra and is learning to play the Violin.  Lori is in Choir and you know she is loving every minute of it.

I transferred with Sam's club so that I would have a job once we got here and it would be one less headache to deal with.  I have since found a job at Midland Community Federal Credit Union and September 19 will be my last day at Sam's.

We are still staying with Mom and Rick and we will be here for awhile.  Abe is not allowed to work right now and we don't have any idea when he will be allowed to return to work.

Hope this message finds you all doing well.  We thank all of you for your notes, cards, phone calls, emails and prayers.  This has been a hard time for our family and we do Thank God for protecting Abe.

    Goodnight!

    Kristi

  • Happy Happy Birthday to Abe!  He probably will not see this because he really doesn't get into reading blogs and all that stuff but I wanted to wish him Happy Birthday anyway.

Abe is very special to me and I love him very much.  I hope he has a happy day today.

  • Hey I haven't posted in quite a while, we have been so busy working , working and did I say working?  Ha.. Anyway we are saving up and trying to get things ready because we are going to move back to Texas or near there.  We are not sure what the future holds for us but we are taking a leap of faith and we know that God will use us somewhere and somehow.

Today was Lori's class program.  Lori did a great job and we were proud of her. See what you think.

  • Hello all.

It is extremely cold her this weekend.  We are just hanging out .   I do have to work all day tomorrow.   I got an email from my favorite father in law today and it had a picture included.  I thought I would share the picture with you too because it made me smile.
